My newest beauty finds

For a while now I have needed some new lotion for my face and mascara. I always hate getting new beauty products because I wonder if I'm getting something that's going to be even worse than what I have. This weekend, though, I picked out some winners (with some help from Mary Alice).

First, the lotion. This purchase made me more nervous than the mascara. I didn't want to buy something that smells bad or that would make my face oily. I also didn't want to spend $20 on it. After thinking long and hard while staring at all of the lotions at Target, I decided to get the Target brand of this Neutrogena lotion.

After the lotion decision was made, I wandered over to the mascara section. Thankfully, I had called Mary Alice before going to Target to ask her what kind of mascara she uses. I always like to get recommendations for stuff like this. The last time I got some, I just picked up some random stuff, and it was AWFUL. It was clumpy from the first day I opened it, and it just didn't do anything for me. Mary Alice recommended Lash Blast by CoverGirl.

I love this mascara so far. It goes on evenly and doesn't clump at all. That's pretty much all I ask of my mascara. Hopefully it will continue to impress me.
